Founded in 1963 by Leon and Evelyn York, York Metal Fabricators, Inc. has remained a family-owned and operated business, specializing in our customized approach to the Non-Ferrous Handrail Industry. Codes
YMF has been actively involved in organization researching, testing and writing standards for the handrail industry. These organizations have provided the technical information from which code writing organization have developed the current codes.

The knowledge and experience we have gained by participating in the development of industry standards and codes can be adapted to your project specific requirements to arrive at the optimum combination of performance and aesthetics. Allow YMF to work with you early in the design process and let 38 years experience make a difference in your project.

Calculations
Project specifications are increasingly including a requirement for structural calculations to verify the handrail system components can meet a specific load requirement. YMF is pleased to include this service on a per job basis. Previous projects which have had calculations run may have a similar system to the one you are currently designing. An example calculation could be furnished upon request to assist your design process.

Physical Tests
In conjunction with structural calculations or separately, YMF can offer physical testing of a rail system by an independent laboratory. Examples of past testing are also available upon request.
